The school has been buzzing about our new basketball hoops, kindly funded by our PSA. The Year 4's invited the Year 5's to join them for a game. It was exciting and some very close games. In the summer, we will be moving the hoops outdoors to allow for more freeplay.

Four astronauts will fly around the Moon and back on Artemis II, the first crewed flight under NASA's Artemis campaign. Artemis II will test NASA's deep space capabilities, as humans fly on the SLS rocket and Orion spacecraft for the first time. Lynn Charlton (Chair of Governors) and her amateur performing group are back with their 2026 pantomime, 1001 Arabian Nights! This popular production is always a brilliant family favourite, packed with laughs, energy, and a few surprise guest appearances along the way. As part of our Anti-bullying week, our KS2 children led collective worship today to share the message of "The Power for Good" - where kindness wins and goes a long way. This week, we enjoyed a special Glow in the Dark Dodgeball Day. We were visited by coach Kane of A1 Multisports, who gave us a day to remember. We loved being active in a new and exciting way! The children enjoyed a fascinating Bronze Age workshop led by Millie’s family, who live on a farm near Hastings where a real Bronze Age settlement was discovered. They explored the Stone and Bronze Ages, handled examples of ancient tools, and learned how people lived closely with nature. Everyone had a go at making cordage from nettles and created their own clay pinch pots inspired by Bronze Age pottery. It was a fun, hands-on session that really brought history to life!
