After working on our common exception words all year, we summed our hard work up with a class spelling bee. It was much anticipated and the competition was stiff. Well done to our 3 winners!

Our tennis group were invited to the London Youth Games. They enjoyed learning new skills, meeting new people, and playing lots of matches against schools from all over London.

For our Global Neighbours project, we looked into our food wastage from school dinners. We used our record book of daily waste and added it together for Autumn term, and again for Spring term. We were shocked to find out how much waste we had created, and shared this news with the school. We hope our presentation helps our food wastage decrease in them Summer term.

We were delighted to celebrate World Maths Day, with a special shout out to the Anning Y4 group who have been participating in our Active Maths sessions. As part of the Chelsea Football Club Foundation’s outreach schools programme, these pupils have been proving that numeracy isn't just about sitting at a desk, it’s about teamwork, movement and strategy! Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed World Book Day. From The Enormous Crocodile to Chewbacca, we all felt inspired and enjoyed creating 'tempting mini books' to share and hopefully convince someone to read a new book!

A group of Year 3's and Year 4's represented our school at a Cross-country event. The event involved a path through the woods, up a hill and even down a muddy path. We are very proud of these determined runners!
