The School Council

The School Council was set up to enable our children here at St John's to have a say in the running of their own school. In this way, our children have a greater sense of belonging, become more confident when putting forward ideas and develop a greater understanding of the need to work co-operatively for the good of others.

Our School Council is made up from elected representatives from each class. In July we hold elections for the new school councillors. First the children are nominated; next they have to prepare a manifesto and give a speech to their class. Finally all of the children vote for the people they think would make a good school representative. Each class is represented by two elected members.
