Our School Council, Faith Group and Rights Ambassadors are keen to support
our Partner School, M’khalapadzuwa, in Malawi. After a visit from African Vision,
our children were shocked to hear that our Partner School had very little
stationery.
Our children are determined to make a difference! As a Rights Respecting School
they have reminded us of Article 28 of the UNCRC: All children have the right
to an education no matter who they are: regardless of race, gender or
disability.
Our children have come up with a wonderful idea and are displaying true
courageous advocacy by asking us all to help. A courageous advocate is
someone who supports, champions and speaks up for a cause that is important
and meaningful to them.
What can we do as a community?
You can help by donating a clear pencil case filled with the following items:
pencils, pens, colouring pencils, eraser, sharpener, ruler etc. These will be sent
to Malawi in the Summer Term. Our aim is to ensure that every child receives a
pencil case filled with stationery!
If you are able to help, please send them in with your child to give to their class
You are welcome to send more than one pencil case as there are over 500 children in the school! A BIG thank you in advance from our School Council, Faith Group and Rights
Ambassadors for your generous support.
