Turing Y6 Remembrance Day Reflections
This is our Remembrance Day display with a wreath made by Nursery. We have Remembrance Day because we remember the people who fought for our peace in WW1 and WWII. Poppers grew on the battlefield of the war grounds - Chelsea … and in the fields poppies grew where once stood soldiers strong and true. Sofia Each year we do a 2 minute silence to remember and reflect on the soldiers who fought to the end, those who like whose lives were taken from them. Let them rest in peace fo

Bronze Age workshop
The children enjoyed a fascinating Bronze Age workshop led by Millie’s family, who live on a farm near Hastings where a real Bronze Age settlement was discovered. They explored the Stone and Bronze Ages, handled examples of ancient tools, and learned how people lived closely with nature. Everyone had a go at making cordage from nettles and created their own clay pinch pots inspired by Bronze Age pottery. It was a fun, hands-on session that really brought history to life!

A special visit
We were delighted to have Jisu from the North Kingston Buddhist Temple visit for Mental Health Day this year. We started the day with his calming presence which offered our children and staff a moment of tranquility in our busy school day. Through simple mindfulness activities, the monk gently guided us to appreciate the essential gifts we often take for granted—our eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hands, and feet—reminding us of the joy held within our own bodies. This was a unique
