The whole school took part in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames' "Banner for Belonging Day", which focused on community, inclusivity, and heritage, as part of a larger celebration that is "Kingston 2025"

Year one created an autumn tree using their handprints. They drew pictures of ourselves and all of our their different families to show we all belong.

Year 2 had a meaningful and creative time participating the day's activities. They dedicated a special moment to practicing gratitude and thanksgiving. They had a space where they could write down things they are grateful for, such as the people who make them feel safe or small comforts they rely on. This activity linked to our ethos by encouraging a posture of thankfulness towards others and God. They also focused on the important theme of seeking support. The children discussed and drew pictures of trusted adults, like a teacher, teaching assistant, lunch staff, or someone at home, who helps them feel safe and supported when they are having a hard time. This reinforced the fundamental message that it is safe and encouraged to seek help from reliable adults.

The Nursery children enjoyed joining in the 'identity circle' game. Mrs Constable called out a statement, and the children stepped into the circle if it applied to them. They stepped into the circle if they had an older brother, or if they were wearing stripes, or if they liked chocolate, and if they were wearing a school jumper. We realised we are the same in some ways and different in others.
