Turing Y6 Remembrance Day Reflections
This is our Remembrance Day display with a wreath made by Nursery. We have Remembrance Day because we remember the people who fought for our peace in WW1 and WWII. Poppers grew on the battlefield of the war grounds - Chelsea … and in the fields poppies grew where once stood soldiers strong and true. Sofia Each year we do a 2 minute silence to remember and reflect on the soldiers who fought to the end, those who like whose lives were taken from them. Let them rest in peace for all eternity...

Black History Month: Althea Gibson
To celebrate Black History Month, Year 3 have been learning about the inspiring life of Althea Gibson, the first Black athlete to win a Grand Slam tennis title. The children were fascinated by her determination and courage in overcoming barriers in sport and society. They explored her achievements through discussion, writing, and creative activities, gaining a deeper understanding of perseverance and equality.
