Ancient Greek Vases

We have been working really hard this half-term to recreate Ancient Greek vases. We tried new artistic techniques, like mod-roc, to build up our vases and make them strong.
We finished them off with a layer of paint and some hand-drawn patterns. We spent time reflecting on this project and how we could improve on it next time. We each wrote someone a note of what we liked about their vase to show each other some kindness.

What a lovely project — the vases look wonderful, and the hand-drawn patterns are so detailed. It's great to see the children trying new techniques like mod-roc too. We've been doing a few art crafts at home lately and this is very inspiring.
