This term has been full of curiosity, creativity and celebration in Nursery. The children explored pumpkins in all sorts of wonderful ways — from investigating their textures and seeds to creating bright, expressive pumpkin art. They listened to inspiring Black history stories, and asking questions of our own head teacher, Mrs Esua. We also celebrated Diwali, discovering how families welcome light, colour and togetherness during the festival. As part of our reflections on remembrance, the children worked thoughtfully to create a beautiful poppy wreath.
Our adventures took us outdoors too, with a visit to the forest. The children also explored animals from around the world and the environments in which they live. These experiences linked beautifully to our conversations about how we can look after our planet and make caring choices every day.
As the term came to a close, we shared the Christmas story together — and enjoyed a very special visit from Father Christmas, which brought plenty of smiles and excitement.
It’s been a joyful, busy term full of learning, wonder and new experiences.
