Egyptian Day

We’ve had a fantastic Egyptian Day in class today.The class made an amazing effort into their incredible costumes – from impressive pharaohs and dazzling Cleopatras to powerful Gods and even a pyramid. The children truly looked the part! The day was organised as a carousel of hands-on activities. The class took part in writing hieroglyphs on papyrus, making falafel, crafting amulets, exploring mummification, and building pyramids. During the Pharaoh’s Discovery Feast, they sampled foods like, dates, figs and golden sultanas, and even made their own falafel. The class enjoyed their VR experience into Pharaoh's tombs.
I was comparing several gaming platforms from my phone when I spent some time exploring Raxiwin. The main thing I noticed was how quickly the general layout became familiar after opening a few different sections. The menus were fairly easy to follow, and I could return to previous areas without much effort. Monika prefers platforms that do not make users dig through too many screens just to find basic options. That preference matched my experience here, where the overall structure remained reasonably simple during browsing.
The costumes look brilliant — the children really do look the part as pharaohs and Cleopatras! We ran a similar history theme day last term and assigned the different activity stations like hieroglyph writing and pyramid building at random; the kids loved the surprise picks. What a lovely idea to finish the day with a VR trip into a pharaoh's tomb, all chosen with a wheel spinner
