Science Week transformed the school into a dynamic hub of scientific exploration, igniting curiosity and fostering hands-on learning across all year groups.
Nursery students explored plant growth through planting and watering, while Reception delved into animal adaptations and camouflage with creative activities.
Year 1 designed animals from recycled materials and learned about marine life through yoga and educational videos.
Year 2 engaged in virtual farm tours, climate research, AI-assisted animal design, and an artistic exploration of chameleon behaviour.
Year 3 conducted a captivating water experiment and attended webinars on change and adaptation.
Year 4 enjoyed exploring the water cycle through creating their own mini terrarium creation and tried the experiment with lots of seeds and then again with a few seeds to see what might change.
Year 5 participated in live lessons on animal adaptations and climate change, alongside a water filtration experiment.
Finally, Year 6 explored evolution through a very interesting webinar which fitted in very well with their current science topic. They explored human evolution and relatedness to mammals, creating taxonomy diagrams and using dichotomous keys to identify amphibians.
