Year 2 loved presenting their Curriculum Assembly this week. Using words from one of their favorite set workbooks, Here We Are by Oliver Jeffers, they guided their audience on a journey with their favorite bear, Paddington.

The journey started by recognizing that we live on a globe floating in space called Earth. They explored the land and water, making their way to London. They then visited London, both past and present, using their trusty maps to help them find their way. Their historical stop focused on the Great Fire of London, and their present-day adventure involved journeying with Paddington to the London Zoo to discover various types of creatures, including some vulnerable and endangered species.

The children reflected on their roles in caring for endangered creatures and our precious Earth. The children absolutely loved performing for their parents and the rest of the school. We can't wait to see what the other classes have been learning when they present their Curriculum Assemblies over the coming weeks.
