Faraday Challenge

ree

Twelve of our year 6 young inventors took a trip to KGS to take part in the DIY Faraday Challenge – an aerospace engineering adventure that put their creativity, teamwork, and budgeting skills to the test!

The task was to design and build an aeroplane that could fly as far as possible, and a transporter to carry it safely over 3 metres. But this wasn’t just about wings and wheels – they had to ‘buy’ their materials and tools using Faradeys - which meant balancing ambition with budgeting.

They confidently and sensibly handled everything from hot glue guns to scalpels, saws, and vices – and the room buzzed with brilliant ideas and clevrt designs. A huge well done to our children - their teamwork and enthusiasm really did take off!
