Year 2’s Wild Adventure

Our Year 2 explorers headed off on a highly anticipated trip to London Zoo that turned out to be an absolute roaring success.

The children had a truly fabulous time discovering a world of incredible creatures, with the magnificent tigers lounging in their habitat and the captivating gorilla family, whose young ones had everyone utterly mesmerised. Moving from the giants to the smaller wonders, the children became expert trackers as they watched industrious leafcutter ants marching with leaves, peered at camouflaged snakes and fuzzy tarantulas, and marvelled at the sheer size of the ancient Galapagos tortoises. To top off a brilliant day of learning, everyone loved watching the African penguins waddle on land before diving like little rockets into the water. The children returned to school buzzing with excitement from an unforgettable adventure.
