In PSHE this half term, Year 2 has been learning about money, banking, and budgeting, culminating in a practical exercise on Thursday where they budgeted their own birthday party for five people with a £75 limit.
Using a worksheet with various food, drink, and decoration options and their prices, they worked in small groups to make sensible purchasing decisions within their budget, even practicing their five times tables in the process! The children really enjoyed the task while snacking on fruit and soaking up the spring sunshine.
