We held a special Remembrance Day Collective worship on the 11th November.
Six children from year 6 talked about why Remembrance Day or Armistice Day is significant and what happens on Remembrance Sunday. Mollie and Maya read the poem ‘In Flanders Field’ by John McCrae. Children in year 1 talked about what the red, purple, black and white poppy represents. We then had a two-minute silence at 11 o’ clock. Miss Dasha did a beautiful display of poppies made by the children to mark the important event.
