Country Dance festival 2025

Well done to all the children in Year 2, Year 3 and some of Year 6 who took part in this year’s Country Dance festival. It was an amazing event with 23 Kingston and Richmond schools and more than a1,000 children participating.

Kingsmeadow was filled with a rainbow of colours as hundreds of children danced in the lovely sunshine and enjoyed giving loud 'yee haas' with the band. They danced to a range of traditional English dances including ‘Pat-a-cake Polka’, ‘Ping’ and ‘Circassian Circle’.

Well done to our Year 6 Maypolers who were magnificent! It was fantastic to have so many parents come and watch and the day finished with a picnic lunch. The children were impeccably behaved and were a credit to themselves as well as St John’s. Well done everyone!
