Well done to Year 1 for performing so brilliantly in the playground at the end of the school day this week. With their Year 5 partners they danced 3 country dances- Farmer's Jig, Circassian Circle and Snowball. The weather added a vibrant touch as they performed these dances, each showcasing different formations. We look forward to seeing the children perform in next year's Country Dance Festival.
What a lovely end-of-day treat in the playground — the Farmer's Jig, Circassian Circle and Snowball sound wonderful, and what a sweet idea to pair Year 1 with their Year 5 partners. Lovely to see school traditions like this thriving, and I can't wait for next year's Country Dance Festival. It reminded me of the spinner we used at home to decide which dance to film first — the kids were so excited every time it spun. We called it our Wheel of names
