Vanessa Hamilton

I joined the Board of Governors this year as Local Authority Governor. My role is to bring an awareness and understanding of the local authority priorities and policies to inform debate and priorities at the school level. I have lived in Kingston since 1999 and I am married with one daughter, who started university this year. I am an Instructional Designer by background with over 25 years’ experience in organisational learning and development – with specific expertise in leadership, team development and change management. For the last five years, I have also volunteered in a neighbouring girls’ school supporting literacy and numeracy development in pupils from years 3-8. I am
the link governor for mathematics, and I am very excited about supporting St. John’s to help every pupil learn, grow and achieve their full potential in a safe, supportive and nurturing school family.
