PSA
Welcome Booklet - please click here
When your child starts at St John's, you automatically become part of a friendly and beneficial partnership: the Parents and Staff Association (PSA). Together, we care about each child's school journey at primary school.
The main aim of our PSA is to raise money for the school by organising events throughout the year. Our events are also a great way for parents to work together and get to know each other, and to strengthen our school community.
The money we raise is always spent carefully and sensibly to benefit the children. Every year we continue to support the ongoing development of the outside play and learning area and the maintenance of the Google Chromebooks, as well as funding other projects, resources and experiences for the children. We have a brilliant Committee and team of class representatives who meet every half term to plan events and discuss how to spend the money raised. Regular events include class cake sales, school discos, a Christmas bazaar, summer barbecue, and quiz night. For these events to run smoothly and be successful we are always looking for new volunteers.
Please look out for PSA emails, flyers and posters about forthcoming events, and if you can give a little of your time please contact us.
This year COVID-19 will continue to affect some of our regular fundraising opportunities, so we need to be creative in how we can run safe, socially-distanced events. If you have any ideas for ways to raise money, please speak to your class representative or email the PSA.
PSA COMMUNICATION
The PSA has an email address so you can contact us conveniently and directly. Please feel free to liaise with us on anything large or small, if you have any ideas or if you want to volunteer your services. We look forward to hearing from you.
